Class Time offerings

  • 5:30am – 7:30am Tuesday Through Friday
  • 8:30am – 10:30am Tuesday Through Friday
  • 2:00pm – 4:00pm Tuesday Through Friday
  • 6:00pm – 8:00pm Tuesday Through Friday
  • Saturday they will have the choice of either 8:00am – 10:00am or 11:00am – 1:00pm

  • The rest is to cover their expenses for being here for the week, and what’s left is the money they will make

Points of Interest

  • Your purchase only goes towards the time of the course you have selected. It cannot be applied to other class time offerings, i.e. you can’t do 5:30am one day then the next day do 6:00pm at night.
  • No refund unless they find someone to fill their spot.

Mike Cerbus and Jessica Salvaggio will be instructing technique and strength classes at CFSB during this Oly Mini-Camp. Below you will find an outline for the week, instructor bios, and the philosophy behind their methods.

Tuesday: Overhead Positioning, Stability Adjustment, Pulling & Catching the snatch in ideal positions, Backsquat technique & Hip/Ankle Mobility

Wednesday: Setting up the Jerk, Front Rack Position, Pulling & Catching the Clean in ideal positions, Frontsquat technique & Shoulder/Wrist Mobility

Thursday: Knee Position in Snatch & Clean, Back Angles/Determining Bar Path, Active Lats & Wrists, Frontsquat Testing, Romanian Deadlifts & Back/Hamstring Mobility

Friday: Snatch & Clean setting up from the ground into lift-off positions, Power Variations of the lifts

Saturday: Testing out in Snatch, Clean&Jerk, Backsquat

Instructors at a glance:

Mike Cerbus has competed nationally for 8 years and medalled at 3 National Championships, 3 American Open Championships, while also being selected to the United States Pan American Team in 2012. At this event, he earned points to qualify the USA Olympic Team placing 4th during the Olympic Qualification Event. His competitive accomplishments and growth as a coach have been made possible by developing under Senior International Coach Lou DeMarco and spending significant time training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs under Zygmunt Smalcerz. His best lifts include a 136kg (300lb) Snatch and a 165kg (364lb) Clean and Jerk at a bodyweight under 170lbs.

Jessica Salvaggio has competed Nationally for over 5 years medalling at the Junior Pan American Championships, and medalling at multiple Junior National, Senior National, and American Open Championships. Most recently she earned the Gold Medal Clean and Jerk at the 2012 American Open. She has a diverse training experience having been a resident at Northern Michigan, The Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, and Catalyst Athletics. This strong background accompanies her personal best Snatch of 84kg (182lbs) and best Clean and Jerk of 107kg (236lbs) at a bodyweight of less than 135lbs.

Mike and Jess are focused on giving clients the best possible coaching experience which is the reasoning behind the smaller class & clinic sizes. Drills that they use in their training both at home and at the Olympic Training Center will be introduced to you and utilized to maximise your 1RMs and efficiency for WODs. Clients of all levels of experience will benefit from this opportunity to be coached by professionals with such a deep knowledge of the Olympic Lifts.
